Simon loves to be outside, and I am sure he will love it even more when he starts to move around on his own. We have been trying to get outside even if it's cold out to get some fresh air in our lungs and to burn some energy.

When we were outside the other day Lily was using the chalk and she drew one straight line and said "G." She then took a step to her right, drew another straight line and said, "T." Another step, another line, "P. Daddy!!!" It was so neat to see. She was so excited and she looked at me and said, "Daddy name." She then repeated the above steps with a different color chalk and instead of saying Daddy she said Simon.

Lily went to a tea party with her friends
Abi and Riley. She borrowed a dress from
Abi because we do not own anything fancy and
Abi wanted everyone to get dressed up. It was a little short because it's an 18 month dress, but it fit her fine everywhere else.

Out of everything she could chose from for her special treat Lily decided she wanted an everything bagel with cream cheese. I was nervous she wasn't going to eat it and tried to convince her to get something else, but she insisted and boy did she prove me wrong. She literally ate almost the entire bagel. She had just had lunch before we went to the coffee shop, but she must have still been hungry!

The girls had a great time!

I borrowed the paper on the floor idea from my friend Katherine and we decided to make some roads for Lily's cars. We drew her house and then she wanted to add
Abi's new house, Red Robin, Kroger, Church and
Wal-Mart. We had a fun night just pushing the cars around her little world.

This little stinker is still not crawling, but he has pulled his legs in and gotten up on his knees a few times. It usually only happens when I put him in his crib for a nap though. I wonder if he is doing it to make himself more comfortable. He is definitely cruising all over the place though and the other day he let go of my arm and took 3 steps, but he wasn't walking, he was Running. He literally ran 3 steps before I grabbed him because he was going to fall with all the speed he had. We are going to be in big trouble when this little guy takes off!

I have been trying to find some new things to do with Lily and she has definitely enjoyed her
popsicle stick family members (I just printed pictures of all our family members and contact papered them to
popsicle sticks. Yes, they are a little creepy, but Lily loves them because she talk about our families all the time. Now she can "play" with them whenever she wants). She also really Loved this clothespin color match game. She kept trying to take the easy way out and put the clothespins on upside down but once she figured out how to squeeze and release she just kept wanting to do it over and over again, and of course she had to show daddy when he came home for lunch!

Watching the snow/rain/sleet fall.

Lily got a super cool gift from Gram today. It was colored masking tape. Each color she unwrapped she said, "Whoa!!!" She was so excited to decorate the box it came in. Simon especially enjoyed the packaging slip that came in the box.
That's life in a nutshell right now. We are keeping busy and loving all the time we get to spend with our kids!!!
