Bath Time and More

Even though Lily has always seemed to enjoy her baths, tonight she appeared to have fun while taking a bath. She was kicking her feet in the water and even creating splashes while kicking. She stared at the faucet for quite a while, so we decided to put some of our foam numbers on the wall to see if she would focus on those as well. She happily kicked her feet, staring at the wall while Jason was bathing her. She, more often than not, cries when we take her out of the tub, but she has found a very effective way of calming herself down, her good old thumb. Tonight I remembered I had hung this adorable towel from AJP&M on the back of the bathroom door, and we really like it. Not only is it super cute, but it is thicker and warmer than the other towels we have been using.

On a different note, Lily found a new part of her vocal cords yesterday as she cried like we have not heard her cry before. It was extremely high pitched and rather loud for such a little child. I can only assume it is just a glimpse of what may be to come when the sweet newborn cries wear off.

Lily is simply amazing and is getting stronger and smarter each day. She holds her head up for a good while and "talks" with us, especially after she nurses. In just the past two days has she started talking to inanimate objects, such as a ring hanging from her bouncy and the light fixtures on our ceilings. She has also spotted Gizmo and actually looks at him more often when he is near her.
