Lily got to try squash for the first time today and it went pretty well for it being her first "food." She would open her mouth wide for the first few bites and would move her mouth as if she was chewing and then spit some of the squash back out. She swallowed a good bit of it, but some came out after each spoonful.
She started making these lovely faces after each spoonful, I guess to let us know how much she was enjoying her new snack.
She definitely looked sad and pitiful by the end of her dozen spoonfuls of squash.
Eventually she simple refused to open her mouth for the spoon. That was the end of her meal. We will stick to squash for the next couple of days to make sure there is no allergy to it and then we will introduce another vegetable early next week. Hopefully she will start to like it.
