I have been feeling much less prepared to welcome baby number 2 into our home (in terms of a place for him or her) and this weekend we have made a lot of progress and I am feeling much better about the situation. Our office, which is becoming the babies room, has been a mess, uh, since we moved in practically. It quickly became the catch-all room and has been an eye-sore for quite a while. It's one of those rooms you close the door to when people are coming over so they can't see your mess. Jason had the day off on Friday because of the weather and we pretty much cleared the room out! It is so much bigger than I remember and I am getting excited to turn it into baby number 2's room. We are borrowing a crib from friends down the street and will only need to buy a dresser to make the room complete. It has made the downstairs even more of a mess, but that should hopefully be remedied soon.
On another note...we made Lily a fort on Saturday. It was a pretty high-tech fort made out of a card table and quilt. It appears she has missed having her own place to play as we watched her push her kitchen away from the wall and sit behind it with some toys. We thought the fort would be a fun place for her to go and hang out, and it was. Then she realized she could get on top of the fort by climbing onto the couch and then easily onto the top of the table. Once she discovered this the inside of the fort was not as much fun, so the fort came down and we will build it again later not so close to the couch.
