Easter Egg Hunt

We had our second annual Sage Lane Easter egg hunt on Saturday and Lily actually got to participate in this one! We went last year, but arrived just as everyone was gathering for a group photo AFTER the hunt. Lily was still taking two naps this time last year and we were so close to being there on time, but just moved a little too slowly. This year though, we were good to go! Lily had a lot of fun running around and looking for the eggs. Each time she put one in her basket she said, "More" and would run to get another one. One of her friends, Abi, was helping her out and putting eggs in Lily's basket as well. Lily enjoyed going through her eggs and her favorite find was a little turtle that she carried around for much of the day. She also got some stickers and bubbles! We, as a street, try not to fill the eggs for the children under 3 with candy so they end up getting some neat little toys. It was a nice way to start our morning!

Saturday evening we went to a birthday party for one of the girls on our street where they had a moon bounce and a big blow up slide! Lily went into the bounce house with Jason and there were immediate tears, so Lily promptly came out of the bounce house. After that we could not convince her to go on the slide with daddy, but she had fun playing in a little ball pit and she especially loved the bubbles! Maybe next year she will be ready for the bounce house, slide experience.


On a side note, my mom comes tomorrow and I am SO excited!!!
